SOA live and kicking at Amazon.
A very interesting read describing a live and running Service Orientated Architecture. No ESB's, JBI's or AJAX applications, this architecture is running perhaps one of the largest retail sites on the Net: Amazon.com. In this CTO's own words, SOA boils down to: Encapsulating the data with the business logic that operates on the data, with the only access through a published service interface. No direct database access is allowed from outside the service, and there's no data sharing among the services
